Obama did obtain a certified copy of his 1961 birth certificate and put a digital copy on the internet. No one who viewed the original (in the Hawaii archives) or the certified paper copy (mailed to Obama) claimed it was fake.
How was he supposed to clear it up if obtaining a certified copy of the original did not? Did you view the certified copy that Obama obtained? If you did not, why do you have any opinion on whether or not it is fake?

Do you believe that Trump, Biden, Clinton, Bush or Reagan were natural born citizens? Did you see their actual physical copies of their birth certificates to verify their status? What rational reason is there to think that Obama is not a natural born citizen of the USA?

Two newspaper announced his birth, so there's that, also. Not official, but not likely someone was planning to make him president way back then.
