“Racist dogwhistles”

When you can’t find racism and go full Jussie Smollett.

arrest him

Too many easily offended leftists just looking for a reason to get someone "canceled". This country was founded on freedom of speech, but it's getting smaller and smaller in the rear view mirror these days.

I’m hoping these anti-woke songs are the start of a new trend.

reply

Name one example of your First Amendment rights being violated by the government.

reply

It's borderline mass hysteria from the mainstream media, politicians, celebs etc. All over a country song. Supposedly going to inspire white people to go out and attack and lynch black people. Meanwhile today this is the reality:

Don't forget this one, so common in the peaceful, non-violent world of rap music:

It does need to be pointed out that you have a huge problem in cities when it comes to black on black violence and gangs. The music they will listen will be some genre of rap which include incredibly violent lyrics. Then you have to ask why have they sat back and said nothing about that and any connection between violence and rap songs and videos and waited to jump on some country song.

reply

Yeah, rap music - anti cop, glorifying drug dealing, gang violence, misogyny - is absolutely fine! But let someone do a song about what will happen IF that type of crap is brought to his town, or any type of violent crime is brought to his town, people have shit fits. We live in clown world 😡

Edited to add: Rappers get shot and killed all the time because it's violent music, violent persona, yet Jason Aldean's song is considered violent! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 You gotta laugh at this craziness!

reply

It’s weird because democrats used to speak up against violent rap lyrics. Tipper Gore(who got the parental advisory on cds) C. Delores Tucker, Jesse Jackson, Calvin Butts. All democrats.

Black on Black crime was a serious issue even to rappers. Self Destruction, and we are all in the same gang were the rap industries version of We are the world.

Today though it’s just considered racist to criticize these things.

reply

I looked for the racism and couldn’t find it. None of lyrics mention race. None of clips show anyone that can clearly identified as non white committing a crime.

reply

When you mention crime in USA you are talking about black people. They commit half of the nations violent crime, that is the truth. From my own personal experience as a frequent tourist in USA, nearly every visit I have an encounter with a aggressive drunk/drugged out Black man...

USA is a third world country once your leave the white areas. Once i was near the southern border and a drunk/drugged out Mexican tried to attack me at a mall.

reply

Calling him racist for calling out crimes and saying that wouldn't fly in a small town. If leftists associate crime with non white people...... hmmmmmm.......

reply

We must embrace the fact that whites must be punished! Asians too for letting covid out!

reply

By which you mean white women than yes, all white women should be dragged by their hair to the town square and burned in front of a massive crowd and sent to the deepest, darkest bowls of Hell for all eternity.

reply

Yes!

lolol
Rolling Stone?

What's next - CNN? Or Maybe NY Times?

reply

You'd rather trust Breitbart? Or some anonymous Twitter account?

reply

Basically any publication that doesn't immediately equate anything anti-establishment with white supremacy.

I think most mainstream publications equated Canadian trucker protests with white supremacy - I found that fascinating.

reply

Agree on Rolling Stone. No one should trust that rag after they published, “A Rape on Campus.” Nothing but corrupt liars masquerading as journalists. Argentinian might as well be citing the National Enquirer.

reply

Maybe Argentinian can post a Joy Reid MSNBC segment next. You know, to be "educational". LOL!

reply

Joy Reid, now that’s a rational bitch for sure. Can’t stand that pos.

reply

Well the Rollng stione did a pretty good job of explaning what all the fuss is about .
you cant disregard the facts therin just becasue Rolling stone printed them .
Yo can have interpret them / have your own opinoin - check them alsewhere maybe .

but it certainly summed it up more than all the blowharding in the thread

I was particularly drawn to the bit that said
the video was partly filmed in front of the Columbia, Tennessee, courthouse.
Are you going to deny that because Riollibng Stone said it ?

And while were on that detail , why do you think that location , of all places , was used?

reply

"But what’s most concerning is the veiled threats of violence that, given the Jan. 6 attacks, we should be really alarmed by, because we know where they can lead. "

From the article -

Here is my take - the governments in the western world are extremely corrupt - we are at the height of that corruption - and as the governments continue to fail the people, there will be an increase in crime, violence and that will eventually lead to a civil war.
Rolling Stone is a pro-establishment launderware - in fact, most of mainstream media is right now - have you noticed how CBC, BBC, and other publically funded media outlets are now preaching the same narrative as the corporate news media? The governments are owned by corporations now - the narrative is the same.
As such, civil war is in the cards - but that this 'news article' is painting it as something else entirely is only to be expected. The pro-slavery movement is returning! White supremacists are returning! lol

So - yeah - great analysis - for the people who are eager for the government/corporations and their media to 'explain' things for ya.

And while we’re on that detail , why do you think that location , of all places , was used?

Don’t know. Is the location defined by that 1 event a hundred years ago? Or is just one out of thousands of things that has happened a courthouse that has been there for a couple hundred years? I’m legit asking because I’m not from the area, but I would think in the south you can point in any direction, and find the site of an old slave auction or something.

reply

That’s not education, that is someone taking their own bias, and possibly racist views of what a small town is, and trying to apply that meaning when it isn’t there. Just because he thinks that is what a small town means, doesn’t mean that it was Jason Aldeans intention when he wrote the song.

reply

The message is not overt. It's not called a dog-whistle for nothing.

reply

The message of the song is meant to be overt. The images are on screen and in your face for that reason.

This guy is just making things up based on his own bias view. For example:

“You better not try that transgender stuff in a small town. You better not try that abortion rights stuff in a small town.”

This is not what a small town implies, it’s just his own narrow minded perception of what small town people are like. Which makes him the bigot.

reply

So what?

This is obviously a left wing opinion, with a heck of a lot of his own speculation in it.

It is obvious because they think they can make MAGA a dirty word. It is on the left wing side due to the media's hammering it is, but it is very much falsely accused of things it is not. It centers on economic nationalism, which include trade and manufacturing.

He's right in one aspect by my viewing today of the song and video. "Try that in a small town" is a veiled threat. You can't get by with the crap that has gone in in urban areas because there are a lot of good guys that will defend their town and people from crime, destruction, and violence. This is nothing to be ashamed of.

Is Aldean another Whitewing victim of his own making?
