That really depends on the reason they were called back, did they find some of the firings broke employment contracts, or they found something for them to do.
Because that "Russian drone striking the Chernobyl power plant" story does not sound very credible. Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant is too close to Belarus, and not working anyway.

If they were honest they would have made clear it was a claim by Ukraine authority, not simply stating it as a fact, and the 2 things might not be related at all.
