Nobody had a problem with him

until he bought Twitter.

Nobody.

Musk buying Twitter is the best thing that ever happened to Twitter, and one of the best things that's happened in the last couple of years. The fact that it makes leftists' heads explode is proof that it's good.

reply

Making corporate leftists angry is always funny, but it's a damn expensive joke.

reply

corporate leftists .... hahahahaha

Denial ⬆️⬆️⬆️

reply

Actually, I lent him some money once to buy lunch at school and he never paid me back, so I definitely had a problem with him.

He lost his sheen when he stooped to calling the Thai cave diver guy a pedo guy.
What a stupid, pointless, asshole thing to say.

Value Of X Has Fallen 72% Since Elon Musk Bought The Company, According To Analysis Of Investor’s Disclosure

https://deadline.com/2024/01/x-twitter-value-down-72-percent-elon-musk-1235694091/

Musk bought the company in October of 2022 for $44 billion. If the company as a whole has also fallen by 72% since his purchase, that means it’s now worth roughly $12.3 billion, or less than the $13 billion in debt the billionaire took on to purchase the platform.

That poses a problem for banks that hold Musk’s debt. They’ll either need to sell it at a steep discount or continue to hold it and potentially see its value sink further.

Per an FT analysis earlier this week, X debt would likely sell at 60 cents on the dollar. In all, that would mean a $5 billion loss.

The libs didn't, anyway. They wanted his cars, with the batteries that keep us dependent on China, can't be recycled, and catch on fire in a way that can't hardly be put out. If he was going to do something stupid like try to go to Mars -- his idea of a "great little fixer-upper" -- he could go broke at it, if he wanted. His employees called him "crazy Elon" for being so driven he'd sleep on the factory floor (which, I don't think I ever heard), but he expected just as much from the people who worked for him.

Most of that are just personal foibles. Those cars aren't, but they were just the sort of thing that people who think that monstrosity he just released is a "truck" would go for -- that is, city-dwelling libs. Now, that same group thinks he's the devil himself. The irony is they were the ones dumb enough to make him rich in the first place.

How Elon Musk Destroyed the Twitter Jack Dorsey created

A little over a year after his $44 billion takeover, Musk has managed to embroil the platform in a string of controversies, lose billions in ad revenue and see a 71% drop in the tech giant’s value.

He's doing good work. Twitter is a shitheap of stupid. It should have been destroyed years ago.

reply

So...he's doing good work by destroying it? 😕

reply

Exactly.

Such genius. So brilliant. 🙄

You can roll your eyes all you want to. Tossing twitter on the trash heap of history is the finest thing any human being could do at this point. Any time I make the mistake if visiting it, all I see are stupid people arguing with each other (not too different from moviechat, I agree, but at least here we're all movie fans, so we have something benign in common). They are uninformed, uneducated, and uncivilized. That's the place where people celebrate the deaths of celebrities they don't like (despite having no idea what that celebrity was like in person). The flipside of that are the armies of mindless fans who attack anyone who has a legitimate criticism of a pop culture figure. Face it, it's where the brain dead go to be amongst their own kind. We should be encouraging them to smarten up and get a life. Shutting down twitter would be a good start.

Oh yeah, and it was totally used and manipulated by American "intelligence" to (possibly) swing an election by suppressing legitimate journalism.

Twitter is, was, and always will be digital vomit.

I didn’t like his attitude when his junky submersible robot failed in the Thai cave rescue. He wasted the precious time of rescuers and then falsely accused them of being pedos when they criticized it.

It really infuriates me whenever I happen to see or year people unironically refer to Twitter as "X" or as the site "formally known as Twitter". I feel like people who do that are just empowering and or embolden Elon Musk further.

Changing the name of the site from "Twitter" to "X" has to be one of the dumbest business moves of all time anyway. You're basically going from something that's very unique, identifiable, and distinctive to something very generic and harder to define. I associate "X" with something pornographic. I mean, how exactly are you going to be able to copyright something called "X" anyway?
