Lee Harvey Oswald was a better shot.
With an inferior gun and further distance, and with a moving target.

shareYou're kidding, right? Of the three shots Oswald took back in 1963, the longest was about 88 yards. Short range for a USMC trained shooter with a bolt action rifle.
While JFK's limo was moving, it was moving slowly away at a small angle. The target speed across the shooter's field of view did not require that the target be lead at all. The speed at which the limo was moving away would have cause the shots from Oswald's elevated position to impact lower, but aiming for the head would put the bullet in the torso without adjusting for target motion.
Crooks was about 150 yards away from Trump when he shot him. I heard Crooks' rifle had a red-dot scope which is not a good choice for anything farther than 50 yards in my opinion. But I do not know for sure, any specifics about the scope.
