Why? You can't have it both ways. If you make your living by appealing to the public, you can't complain when the public is appealed by you. As far as taking photos of someone eating, its rude regardless of a persons celeb status. But it's silly for actors to spend their lives promoting themselves so they can achieve fame, then complain that it draws too much attention.
She doesn't deserve her privacy, it's simply bad manners to photograph someone eating, as I clearly said. The only person making this weird is you my friend. Damn odd thing to say out of the blue. One might call it a "weird" comment.
I will agree with you on principle, but at the same time, something is off. Yes, celebrities who gain a mass benefit from public exposure must also accept the cost that comes with it, including the loss of privacy/anonymity that non-celebrities enjoy. And when you're in a food court (or low-scale restaurant) and not trying to conceal your identity, you aren't exactly trying to actively protect your own privacy.
I think the issue here is that we typically think of eating food as a non-glamour act, and so we want to keep it relatively private. Therefore, everyone (including celebrities) assume that pictures of celebrities in the act of eating food are a no-no. In a word, it's rude to do it.
It's a close call, but in the end, I think the burden is more on celebrities to try to protect their own privacy (not going out, or concealing their identities) than for the public to turn off its celebrity curiosity.
Essentially, the rules of etiquette shouldn't change because someone is famous. Rude is rude, but when millions of people know who you are, you are going to have a proportionate number of interactions. I don't doubt it's annoying, but it's unreasonable to expect anything less in that business.
Give me a break you fruitcake. She's having a private fucking meal. Any sane person would just leave her alone. Just because she's a tv/movie personality doesn't mean she's available 24/7.
I work in an office. Does that mean if I bump into my boss outside of work I'm obliged to act like an employee?
The problem with being a celebrity is that there's a small percentage of idiots/lunatics that don't get how it works.
Are you stupid, or did you just decide to get cunty about something because the opportunity presented itself? I very clearly said it's inappropriate to take pictures of someone eating. Settle down Karen.
