The Senjutsu Tour

So Bruce has suggested they may be playing the entire Senjutsu album on the next tour, seeing how it’s 81 minutes long that means that part of the show will be at least 90, they will have time for maybe 4 additional songs. Obviously one of them will be the Iron Maiden title track and I’m guessing Fear of the Dark will be in there as well? Any predictions for the others? I’m guessing maybe Run To The Hills and The Trooper

reply

Hopefully they change their mind and play only about 5 songs from Senjutsu with the rest of the setlist being old classics they haven't played in years.

reply

Yeah I’d love to hear Sanctuary, Prowler, To Tame A Land, Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Sea of Madness, etc

reply

You’re lame

The reason Maiden is the greatest is that they stay relevant

reply

Yesterday the tour started , they played 5 songs from Senjutsu like i predicted , who's lame now?

reply

You’re an idiot. Your comment was directed at me for some reason

reply

i'm the idiot? you called me lame for whatever reason , you dumbass

reply

You’re an IDIOT because you’re living in the past. How many times can you listen to the same ole songs. Maiden is relevant in todays music world because they create new shit every few years you DOLT. Who wouldn’t want to go to a great concert by one of your fav bands and hear all new great stuff

reply

why the fuck do you care so much what other people do? and beside Maiden will always play old classic songs in their show , they're not gonna listen to you and play only new songs , so your life must suck MORON

reply

That’s how stupid you are. Look at all their past tours you dope. Every time they make a new album they tour that album with mostly all the songs on that album with maybe 1 or two classics during the encore. They do the classics every other tour you Dolt. That’s how much you know about Maiden. Obviously you’re not that much of a fan

reply

ok this confirms you are a total douchebag lol , probably your parents weren't even married when i started listening to Iron Maiden

reply

Looks like they are going to focus on the Somewhere in Time album on the next tour.

reply

Yeah they also said they would play Senjutsu in its entirety so now I am predicting :
- The entire Senjutsu album
- The song Iron Maiden
- 4 songs from Somewhere In Time (maybe title track, Wasted Years, Heaven Can Wait, Sea of Madness???)

reply

If that's the case, this might be the first time in a long time I won't be going out of my way to see them live.

reply

Yeah pretty sure Harris said they were going to play the whole album like they did with A Matter Of Life And Death.

reply

they said that over a year ago , before announcing the Future Past tour , it's not going to happen now , Senjutsu it's 82 minutes long , if they play few song from SIT + encores it would make shows like over 2 hours and half long , and i seriously doubt that.

reply

Maybe they are just going for it this time? Like have two sets with an intermission in the middle like Rush always did.

reply

the show would like nearly 3 hours then , they're all around 65 or older , it would absurd for them to manage a tour like that

reply

Well Rush did it and they were actually older and there were only 3 of them, while there are 6 members of Maiden. It can be done.

reply

Yesterday they played the first show of the tour in Slovenia , the setlist is 15 songs , 5 songs from Senjutsu , looks like i was right in my prediction , no way they were going to play the entire album.

reply

Yeah the band hinted at playing the entire album but that never materialized. Or maybe they will swap songs out at various shows going forward like Metallica does and Rush did so the entire album may be performed live? As of now there are only 3 senjutsu songs that haven’t been performed live (Lost In A Lost World, Darkest Hour, The Parchment).

I did predict that The Trooper, Fear Of The Dark and Iron Maiden would be played and I was right about them. I did not see The Prisoner and Can I Play With Madness making an appearance.

reply

i really doubt that , Maiden never did that during a tour , the setlist is always the same for all the shows , possibly they did that in the early 80's but i'm not entirely sure about it.

reply

Well maybe they’ll try something new? It would be a new approach for them.

reply

if they do it will be for the North/South American tour , they certainly won't change the setlist mid European tour , anyway i would swap Can I Play With Madness for The Clairvoyant or Infinite Dreams

reply

Me too, I have never liked Can I Play With Madness. I LOVE Infinite Dreams though and the title track.

They need to swap Stranger In A Strange Land for Sea of Madness. Sea of Madness is literally the best song from Somewhere In Time.

reply

The Trooper
Running Wild
Aces High
Iron Maiden

* Also good possibility of Hallowed Be Thy Name

reply

Pretty sure running wild is a Judas Priest song

reply

oops Running Free

reply

Gotcha, yeah it'd be nice if they played that, I've only heard them play that once and it was on the Maiden England 2012 tour

reply

I'm not predicting anything, but if I saw 'em live I'd want to hear:

Hallowed Be Thy Name
Genghis Khan
Phantom of the Opera
Prowler
Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Remember Tomorrow
Paschendale

reply

I have heard Hallowed Be Thy Name, Phantom Of The Opera and Rime Of The Ancient Mariner live.
