She never really took off and reach the level of popularity that she was set to get athirst. She would have been in the spot Ariana Grande is currently at but besides Ariana completely supplanting her Demi also seems to have made some really big mistakes over the years. Saying or doing inappropriate things and it also looks like she is not very smart either.
