But... neither of them is much of an actor, but IMHO Gadot nailed it and I don't think Daddario could.
Daddario always has a slight air of vulnerability and hesitancy, and that just wouldn't do for Wonder Woman. Gadot was completely open and self-confident, totally fearless with other people, in a way that regular adult humans are not. Ordinary adult humans know that other ordinary humans can hurt them, while Diana of Themyscira does not.
Nailed it how? She had to wear a heavily padded suit over her rail thin physique and slept-walked through both films with her dead expression and monotonous vocals.
WW needs to be the immediate center of attention when she enters a room because of her gorgeous looks, impressive physique and extraordinary charisma. Gadot has none of that. Daddario does. She did a better job playing WW in the two Percy Jackson films than Gadot could ever hope to do.

Personally, I think there's more to an actor's performance than their build.
And yes, I thought Gadot's air of complete self-confidence carried her through the role even if her body type wasn't ideal. I loved the movie and I loved her, I didn't waste my viewing time wishing she had bigger boobs.
