Wait, he was defending a used car lot? That's it?

And there I was thinking he was stopping looters from burning down a shopping center or strip mall.

But apparently it was just a bunch of used cars.

This hero story needs some reworking I feel.

reply

It doesn't matter what he was defending it's still a business and Kenosha was burning. Remember Jacob Blake is a criminal who has no one to blame but himself for being in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. The Cop's action were justified.

reply

He was defending his life.

reply

yup.

reply

If he had stayed on the car lot he would have been doing his job. But he left the car lot and was on a public street with a loaded rifle in the middle of a civil rights march. He's an idiot and he provoked violence.

reply

They were also "medics" and helping the injured. Wasn't that part of the tale?

reply

He provoked violence huh?? You mean sort of like what people on the Left do everyday??

reply

If they do, shame on them. It doesn't change the fact that high school kids carrying loaded rifles to civil rights marches is not a good idea.

reply

Well, chances are, you'll be seeing more of this as we head into 2024 toward November..

reply

Kids, stay home and do your homework. This is why we have cops, so people don't get killed over bullshit.

reply

I mean, at one point, cops were few and far between with this Defund the Police bullshit.. I'm glad someone came to their senses on that.. Here: Joe Biden for Defunding the Police 3 years ago

reply

Your argument is disingenuous. You would be saying the same thing if the cops were there, and shot them instead. That was literally the reason for the protest. Maybe they shouldn’t be out committing crimes.

reply

Pfffffft. Stop trying to frame me by some stereotype in your head.

You don't know me. My brother-in-law and nephew are both cops. I think half of what BLM did was bullshit.

Police are trained to do that job. That kid had no business walking down Main Street during a riot with a loaded rifle.

Just common sense.

reply

You frame yourself as a stereotype when you blame a kid for defending himself, while defending criminals.

The kid had a right to be at a protest it’s his first amendment right.

He had a right to carry a gun, it’s his second amendment right.

He has a right to defend himself.

Rioting is not a right, it’s a criminal act.

If we are going to talk about common sense, it’s probably not a good idea to chase down and attack someone who has a gun.

reply

They were part of a BLM protest march. Protest is a right. And Rittenhouse didn't care too much about the rights of the protestors.

And even cops don't shoot rioters. And two of three were peacefully marching - until they saw the man with a gun.

And you have a right to carry a gun. But you don't have a right to walk down Main Street during a protest march and wave a gun around.

Try walking down your street with a gun slung over your shoulder and see what happens to you. I dare you.

reply

Peaceful protest is a right. Rioting is a crime, and assault is a crime.

You are not peacefully protesting when you join and mob and chase down someone to attack them. They chased him 4 blocks from the car dealership, yelling get him. When he fell, one of them swung a skateboard at his head, and missed while he was on the ground, and got shot, the other pulled his own gun, and got shot.

You should probably go and watch the videos, because everything that you are saying is wrong. He didn't shoot them because they were rioting, he shot them to defend himself. And yes the police would've shot people if they were threatened the same way, they do it all time, it's literally the reason that they were there protesting.

reply

The reason he, and others like him, were there was because the cops were not doing anything. The owner of the used car lot asked him for help, and he gave it. He spent the day cleaning up graffiti, then came to the car lot at night to help them protect themselves from vandals and looters.

He also didn't randomly wander off the lot with a gun and provoke violence. Someone lit the contents of a dumpster on fire and rolled it towards the lot. While Rittenhouse was putting out the fire, protesters started attacking him, and he ran. It was only after one of the people chasing him fired a shot at him that Rittenhouse turned around and defended himself.

I think a more accurate admonition is, "Kids, stay home and do your homework, but prepare yourselves to bear arms and protect your community if the time comes where the police can't, or won't, defend it for you."

reply

Civil rights marches? It was a fucking riot.

reply

He left the lot, because the criminals got mad that he put out their dumpster fire and decided to chase and attack him instead. Not just chase him off the property, but chase him for like 4 block before they caught up to him and assaulted him.

reply

He shot a guy who tried to knock the rifle out of his hand. Rittenhouse looked and acted like a mass shooter. I would have tried to disarm him myself.

He shot another guy who threw a plastic bag at him. He shot a medic. The dumb kid should have stayed home.

reply

If a group a people chase you down, and try and grab your gun, you are going to feel that your life is in danger. That is justified self defense. And I guess you are lucky you weren’t there that day, or you would be dead too. You should probably follow your own advice and let the cops handle it.

And no he didn’t act like a mass shooter. He ran away, despite being armed, he hadn’t fired a single shot at that point, and he wouldn’t until he was under attack, and even then he fired the minimum amount of shots to get the job done.

They chased him because he put out their dumpster fire with a fire extinguisher, and they got mad. That’s it. It’s on video.

reply

This event came in the wake of several well publicized mass shootings.

These brave men had every right to assume Rittenhouse was another crazed mass shooter.

So, someone throws a plastic bag at you and you have a right to shoot him? On what planet does a plastic bag require lethal self defense?

reply

They had no right to assume he was a mass shooter, because he wasn't there firing indescriminately at people. He was just there with a gun, as were a lot of people.

But lets explore that for a second. If you and your group of hoodlums are walking around town looking to commit a crime, and see someone that "looks like a mass shooter" wouldn't it be a good idea to avoid place, and destroy something else? Or do you do it anyway, and when you get confronted by this person that you are convinced is just there to shoot people, do you back off? Or do you get aggressive, and attack him? Sorry but it doesn't add up. They are either really stupid, or they just have poor survival insticts.

He didn't get shot for throwing a plastic bag, he got shot because he grabbed the gun and tried to take it away from Rittenhouse. It amazing how people will lie about facts. I'm not even blaming you for this, it's probably the bubble that you are in. but come on, if doesn't make sense at least question it.

The plastic bag by the way was his possessions, because he was just released from the hospital after a suicide attempt. He was also filmed challenging people to shoot him earlier in the night. He was a nutjob with a death wish.

reply

Civil rights march? That's a peculiar choice of words to describe what was going on in Kenosha.

reply

He wasn't defending anything; he went to kill people. No one needed him there. He had no legit purpose there. He didn't live there. The prosecutor dropped charges that would have made (him) having a firearm illegal, at the time of the shooting. He's a murderer that escaped justice.

reply

He had as much right to be there as anyone else. More so in fact since he was there peacefully, and not committing crimes.

reply

The leftoids and SJWs are always backwards in their logic.

As they focus on the person who defended himself, they conveniently ignore the fact that those rioters looted, burned, and murdered in several other cities and were there to do the same.

reply

So, just like the "protesters?" LOL.

reply

I'll give your post a more direct response, since you are wrong on literally everything.

He was staying in town with one of his best friends who did live there. He was voluntarily helping to clean up the community, he's one camera days before helping to paint over graffiti on a school. During this service he met the owner of the car lot, who asked him to watch over the property, so he did. He went there with a med kit, and attempt to help people that were hurt during the rioting.

So your claim that was there to murder people = False, He had no legit purpose being there = False. No one needed him there = False, He didn't live there = 1/2 True

The weapons charges were dropped because they didn't have a case. Why else would they drop them? There was no deal, they were trying to get it from everything that they could. You are most likely repeating the talking points of some stupid people. The point that he was dropped off by his mother, and he crossed state lines are both lies. The gun was bought by his friend in Kenosha, and kept in that same house. The point that he was too young for open carry is also a lie. It was all legal.

You know who did have an illegal firearm, and he pointed it at someone? Gaige Grosskreutz

reply

^^^ This

reply

The charges were dropped so that he wouldn't be a criminal at the time of the shooting. ;)

reply

That part of the story is probably only relevant to you. The entire thing is on video, and it speaks for itself.

reply

He was defending his life from 3 pussy liberals who couldn't handle one kid despite being armed themselves. Remember that any time you think a new civil war would be a good idea. The right will fuck up the left on an entirely different level if that ever happens.

reply

He was defending himself from an armed leftard mob, who's leader explicitly and publicly had stated his intention to committ murder.

His effective defense of his life against a mob of violent and evil sub humans, makes him a hero.

Any man that cannot respect a man that defends himself against superior numbers, is not a real man.

reply

David Dorn was defending his friends business and was murdered by blm. No one cared.
