Thor is now a woman in the comics. Should be interesting. I wonder if any more iconic characters will swap genders in the future? Should be interesting if they do it with others like Iron Man or Captain America. Really hope this turns out well for them.

Who would you like to see play a female version of Thor in the MCU?

I think it's a lame attention grabbing move from Marvel, done to make headlines and get attention. Soon the interest in it will peter off and they'll go back to the standard. There have been other wielders of the hammer in Marvel before, but Thor always gets his hammer back.

And I agree that I don't have a problem with a woman wielding the hammer per say, Captain America has picked it up, but to call her "Thor" is silly, since that's literally Thor's name, the son of Odin, not a title like "Captain" or something.

They should've made a new, strong female character, or just let Lady Sif, who has earned her place in Marvel and Asgardian continuity, hold the hammer.
