Calling it now, it will win Best Picture regardless of how good it is.

I concur! Kind of like Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize before he even served one day as President, and then after 8 years, did really nothing to promote world peace, and instead vastly INCREASED the racial divide in America by completely denying any problems with the black race.

It's about time. I was just thinking the other day how George Floyd was basically forgotten. I was wrong.

Hmmm something else is happening this year... Tip of my tongue... Oh right! It's another election year!

Sorry. No way I'm going to miss a Sanford & Son episode for this.

The biopic will apparently not portray Floyd as a perfect person, but rather a father with human flaws, whose horrific death changed the world. It will not be a traditional biopic, more a “gritty drama of a man and his community thrust into the fiery light of history,” according to a press release.

Floyd needs to be portrayed as a person with huge f*cking flaws if they want to also show that he was murdered by Chauvin.

Floyd's criminal record can be seen here. https://www.snopes.com/news/2020/06/12/george-floyd-criminal-record/

Hopefully the film tells the true story of a good man and doesn't get polluted by any far-right sentiments. You know, falsehoods about Floyd having a prolific criminal past, or using counterfeit bills while drugged out of his mind on the day he was killed. We all know he was a little black angel who was "turning his life around"!

I did find a new photo of him confirming your assertion.

From the details it sounds like a shitty little film that the family financed with some of their "lottery winnings", It'll go straight to streaming and be buried deep on Netflix within a week.

reply

Oh you mean like those "lottery winnings" that Rodney King was enjoying when he died poolside at his LA mansion?

Washington said in a statement, “We are excited the world will see the real, jovial, and loving George we know."

Now was this before he got fucked up on drugs or what because he didn't sound Jovial when we last saw him with Chauvin kneeling on his shoulder blades?? Who plays the part of Chauvin and who plays George Floyd?? 🤔

After all, we're educated about reality by watching movies!
