Why was his death bigger than the others?

What factors with him contributed to the worldwide kneeling, protests, black social media boxes, than the others who died by police officers?

reply

It was filmed.

reply

Because he's Black and the media knew giving him publicity would be good for ratings. And the left in general knew that making a bug deal out if it would help create an entire generation of political activists.

reply

Others were black too though.

reply

And they got publicity all except Tony Timpa who was white.

reply

I think some people are just getting their fill of law enforcement needlessly killing people. Where do you draw the line?

It is not often that a police officer will slowly torture a person to death as they lay in the street while they are being recorded on video.

Did you think Floyd's death would just blow over? I'm fairly certain that Chauvin thought he was getting a raw deal for continuing to kneel on the corpse of a person he just killed.

reply

That's an interesting point. Most police brutality cases resulting in death are quick. Usually within a few seconds. This was more of a torture.

reply

Floyd's killer starred in a public snuff film. He knelt on the man's back until they could not find a pulse, then kept his knee on the back for another two minutes. That makes for lots publicity; the wrong kind of publicity. The police are not supposed to be doing this.

Three other dirty cops watched one of their own murder a man over the course of nine minutes.

reply

An excruciatingly painful video of his execution.

reply

Maybe because of those mega-nostrils?
