Why did he keep kneeling on Floyd's neck after he had died?
The EMT at the trial said he told Chauvin that Floyd no longer had a pulse. Chauvin remained on top of him for 2 more minutes before getting off.

shareI think it was probably ego. The crowd had called for Chauvin to ease off from the start, and Chauvin probably didn't want to be seen as being told what to do by civilians.
shareI mean just look at this entire thread of misinformation! George Floyd didn't die with Chauvin's knee on his neck, he died later at the hospital after the paramedics performed a load and go, very possibly due to the hostile crowd that caused everything to get out of hand.
But 90 minutes after his initial encounter with Minneapolis police, Floyd was pronounced dead at HCMC.
who cares
shareProbably similar to how a dog doesn't want to give up its kill
shareIt was a highly charged event in which the cops tried to subdue a muscular 6ft thug on drugs for 10 minutes. They only started kneeling after he kicked out at the cops after pretending to be claustrophobic.
It seems amazingly unlikely his intention was to murder in broad daylight with a crowd of people watching but his intentions cannot have been good. Rumor is he knew Floyd from an old security job
