reply

reply

LOL

reply

Its a cool name. I would ditsch Ferrera and go for Ms America Power !

reply

There's other Americas besides the USA.

reply

As in North America, South America, Central America too, I suppose

reply

America is not a country.

reply

people say "im from america" and dont mean "north or south america". just like people just say " im from the US".

reply

I'm not talking about what people say, I'm talking about reality.

reply

yes what people say is reality. words dont have inherent objective meanings, they have usages. i work at somewhere on the border and we get plenty of americans. they have all said "im american" "from america" or "from the US" or "from the states". i have never ever say "i am from the united states of america"

reply

If someone is from New York, are they a proud American or a proud United States of American?

reply

Are we discussing "American Ferrara" or "America Ferrara"?

reply

The OP asked if she was named after a country, so the fact that American isn't a country, we know who we're talking about.
