Today On The Grammar Police Thread
First, I admire Great Britain's royal family, (save for two), and especially enjoy the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Tindalls, and Princess Anne.
But, Prince William just released a touching bit of film on his goal to alleviate homelessness and remarked that Princess Diana took the boys to a shelter at a young age to see how some are forced to live. All good, right up until he said, "My mother took Harry and I." It is not only William, both brothers are the Sweeney Todds of grammar.
It is "Harry and me." It is called the King's English for for a reason. Did not these men attend the finest schools? Get it right, and I want never to hear from my Brit friends one word about American spoken English!
