The title spare is pathetic

It's like the pathetic little brother syndrome and he wants to be defined by it.

reply

Yeah, he is one sorry son of a bitch.

reply

Yep, just glad the Americans have got the dip-shit now, don't get sending him back.

reply

Him and James Corden.

reply

Idk I think it'd be a perfect title for the autobiography of a champion bowler.

reply

It's a good title.

I remember when he was born and there was relief that a spare had been born. The media said Diana had did her royal duty by delivering a spare for the royal family. An heir and spare. Sad way to announce the arrival of a new baby. No wonder Harry's bitter.

I don't believe anyone called Charlotte a spare. Times change.

reply

A queen is better than a king. I hope George steps aside for Charlotte, who is much smarter and regal.

reply

I prefer Charlotte, too.

reply

Why isn't it called Bastard?

reply

Something much worse than little brother syndrome.

I realized it when Meghan was criticized for not walking BEHIND Harry when they entered a room. She is considered "inferior", therefore supposed to walk behind him like Kate does with William, Camilla with Charles, etc..

The Royal family and Institution are a hierarchy. There is a ranking order in which Harry will always be treated inferior, therefore treated like a 2nd class citizen in his own family and by the Institution. William inherits money, land, homes, high titles, treated better and protected. Both brothers went to the same racist party, but only Harry was thrown to the wolves and it's obvious someone else obtained the Nazi costume for him - maybe William. Ditto when both brothers smoked and drank. Future king William's reputation was protected while Harry was expendable.

Meghan said she was surprised that the ranking protocol existed in private with the family, too. An African-American woman wouldn't be happy as a 2nd class citizen in her new family especially among contemporaries like Kate and William. Probably Harry already resented it when vocal Meghan complained and came up with an exit plan.

Harry is heavily criticized for not wanting to be treated poorly by the royal system while smiling for cameras. Horrible treatment of Diana and Fergie too by the royals. Diana was supposed to accept Charles infidelity ("kings have a right to cheat") with a smile and considered crazy for not.

Yes, Harry got the shorter end of the primogeniture stick, which only leaves him wealthier than 99.999999999999% of human beings!

He's been showered with wealth and luxury just for being born, but instead of appreciating how much better he's hd it that dveryone else, he's hugely angry that he isn't being showered with quite as much wealth and luxury as his brother. Which is why 99.99999999999% of humans have no sympathy for his whining about unfairness.

reply

Yep, that sums it up

reply

I'd literally exchange places with him if he hates it so much. I don't mind being taken care of and partying all day.

reply

I would absolutely hate being a royal myself, I have terrible stage fright and generally hate being the center of attention, so being scrutinized everywhere I went would drive me round the bend. So I totally support his leaving the royal family, just not his whining about how hard his life of wealth and luxury is.

I don't know if I'd have retired from public life if I'd been born royal, or I'd be like Princess Anne and stick around even if I didn't like it much. Anne dutifully does her job as a royal, she's done a lot of charity work over the last 50 years, and then she goes home to her family and horses. She's proven it is possible for a royal to have a reasonable work-life balance, or at least, a royal who isn't The Heir.
