For example, the car was invented in the West. The West has enjoyed its benefit since its inception. China has only in recent years started to use cars on a Western scale, and still there are plenty of Chinese who do not have a motorised vehicle. The West would have no credibility whatsoever in trying to moralise to China on that score.
