sorry fans but I think he's a phony

While making himself clear in front of the press that he has turned down "many" offers given by "big Hollywood producers" for whatever BS reasons that make himself look good, he seems to forget that fact that he HAD participated in at least one hollywood movie before. Uh, okay so now that he is "kinda" successful, he gets to diss hollywood? And not to mention the bad sh*ts he had said about Jet Li and Jackie Chan.

I do agree that hollywood DOES destory some of the good kung-fu stars out there like Jet Li, but let's keep in mind one of the reasons that kung-fu is now so popular even among western culture is because its uniqueness stands out even more in such culture, in other words, hollywood PROMOTES it even more for letting Chinese fighters kick western asses. And let's also not forget how hollywood made Bruce Lee a Chinese hero.

If Mr. Yen never liked what hollywood makes out of Chinese kung-fu, he wouldn't have said yes to hollywood in the first place. So, yes, I think he is a potential phony.

Whatever the Sammo-Jackie thing was, I think they cleared it up because both have worked with Donnie since, with Jackie even recommending him for Shanghai Knights.

As for Yuen Woo Ping, personal differences aside, I actually think it is a good thing that he came out of Yuen's shadow. The director has been doing the same s* hite , pardon the expression, for ages. True Legend is a perfect example. It felt like a period piece from the 80s - no growth at all as a director.Ghastly. (As an action director, that's another story - but I also maintain that Sammo's a lot better).
