Eliza Dushku, rumored to be his lover, thrown him under the bus,but he still has...

...he still has Amy Acker,Felicia Day,Jewerly Staite,Gina Torres and Summer Glau to his side. Hope they dont betray him!

reply

Hope at least the Firefly cast, which he always said it was the best cast he ever had, wont betray him! Altough Adam Baldwin on Twitter was pretty savage against him recently.

reply

He had all those chicks? I don't blame him, I woulda F all those chicks too. Make 'em give me blowjobs too.

reply

Don't forget Mercedes Mcnab

reply

Same

reply

I’m sure you wonder why women won’t have anything to do with you.

reply

>Make 'em give me blowjobs

So you're a would-be sexual predator. Good to know.

reply

"Betrayal"? So women should stand by men regardless of their behavior?

reply

Yeah I don't understand the use of that word. Why do people think others should just get away with being a piece of shit?

reply

The only reason this guy is being attacked is because he is a man; Sarah Michelle Gellar treat like trash her stunt double even make her get fired only because she asked her how she would do a stunt when Gellar was breaking her balls this facts are well known have been discused for the people involved

reply

So far these accusations have been isolated to the Buffy/Angel cast. The fact that no one from any other project he's been involved in has come forward makes me less likely to believe it.

reply

True

reply

People, circumstances, colleagues and conditions change. Even if no-one from the later shows, with older casts, come forward it doesn't disprove the statements from the Buffy/Angel cast.
(edit) Also I was waiting for someone like Marti Noxon to come forward and she now has, as have several others including *gasp* men!

Yes but for the most part people who exhibit toxic abusive behavior tend to not change. It's hard to believe that he was super mean and abusive to one specific cast on one specific show and then suddenly had an epiphany and treated everyone there after kindly.I'm waiting for an accusation to pop up outside of Buffy.

reply

Well I think people can change, or at least get better at managing themselves - and it's to Wheedon's credit if this what has happened.

reply

People can change but not overnight.Tru calling was less than a year after finishing Buffy. He started Firefly while he was still doing the final season of Buffy. The Firefly cast has praised the man many times over the years. There's no way he changed his ways that fast. Why haven't those casts complained yet.It just feels too isolated.I want to hear from someone outside of Buffy.

reply

He was not involved in "Tru Calling", you may be thinking about "Dollhouse" but that was several years after Buffy.

"Dollhouse" came about because Eliza Dushku approached him as she had a 3 series deal with FOX.

I know that he would have actors come to his house on the weekends and they would read Shakespeare and stuff. If he was an a-hole to enough of his actors why would they voluntarily go to his house for EXTRA time with the a-hole.

I am not saying that he was a saint but some people are treating him like he HAS to be one or it gives they the right to trash him. (I am talking about people on social media and not the people directly involved)

reply

"He was not involved in "Tru Calling","

Your right.I must have just associated him with it in my head because of Dushku. But yea if he was such an asshole and hard to work with why were casts going to his home to work with the guy.Doesn't make sense.I suspect what ever friction happened between him and Carpenter is being blown way out of proportion by todays #metoo shoot first and ask questions later mentality.

reply

Those people haven't said anything, they haven't taken a side.

Dushku is not particularly credible to me. She chose to work with him on another how, he couldn't have been that awful to her.

reply

I think the fact that others are contradicting the original complainers just goes to show that you can't take everyone for their word. Also, none of the audience were there to see the behind the scenes goings on, therefore we don't know if the actors who are coming out have attitude adjustment problems themselves. The end result is STANs vs FANs vs casual observers who think the #MeToo, #TimesUp, #MeanPeople=Bad movements are nothing more than tactical political tools to play against special interests.
