Miss Her.

Man, it’s been forever since I’ve thought of Nancy Walker, where she has been in my thoughts but i was reminiscing about my childhood & the TV shows & stars of when I was growing up in the 70’s & she came to mind. Nancy was everywhere since the 70’s all the way to the 90’s. She was a force to be reckoned with.

It was a good time for TV & I’m glad she was a part of my growing up, the 80’s generation can lay claim to Nancy as well as she survived up to 1992. She had great comic timing & instincts & was in many a immortal show, “Rhoda” with Valerie Harper & even her own show, “The Nancy Walker Show”. You can liken her to someone such as Doris Roberts who was around just as long & also happened to star in many of the shows that Nancy was in, so they probably knew each other. I’m glad I remembered her, it’s been too long. We miss ya Nance. Rest easy.

I used to like her as Mildred in McMillan and Wife.

reply

Yes, me too.

There is a 1990 episode of Columbo where she makes a cameo as herself. I think it would have been funny if she had played Mildred.

reply

Yes! I remember that - part of a celebrity poker school IIRC!
