Watching transsexual pornography made him trans?

Interesting listen, in his own words he says the first images that struck a chord with him was watching transsexuals perform in pornography and that he wished to be desriable like them.

This is honestly an interesting topic I think. Can one acquire a fetish or identity crisis by being exposed to content?

If you took someone and made them watch a certain fetish based content daily, would they eventually begin to like it?

It's also quite bold that many celebrities are now openly talking about watching pornography. This stuff has historically been taboo but now people are nonchalantly bringing it up. Another recent story is that Taylor Swifts new partner mentioned in a podcast about being caught watching racial fetish pornography where white men 'punish' black women, why someone would reveal that to the world is beyond me.

Some on the right are now referring to transgenderism as a 'social contagion'. These people didn't really exist 10+ years ago and now they are every where. LGBTQIA+ rates are highest in the youngest age groups and decrease as age is increased. It's becoming more prevalent than ever before.

It's largely contained to the 'west' as of now. I don't believe China, Russia, Poland, Italy and co' are having major booms in trans identification.

I recall as a youngster 'lady boys' were mythical beings found in Thailand and Brazil. Trans identification was culture locked in these nations. They didn't exist in the UK.

Humans are social beings and you can see trends be followed through out history. I remember back when goths and emos were a thing. In the early 00s people based their entire identity around listenting to certain bands, they all followed the same fashion trends. It was a sub-culture.

It's worth mentioning because you don't really see emos or goths anymore, certainly not to the same frequency.

Then how come watching good movies didn't make him a good director?

reply

They didn't strike a chord with him. He didn't wish to become like them.

Anyone who makes The Matrix gets a lifetime pass. Dude’s a genius.

reply

Nah, screw the Wachowskis.

reply

Can’t.

Certainly he was influenced by mass media messages, but highly doubt it would have been pornography alone, unless they aimed to have become a performer themselves

reply

of course. and yes, video games turn people into psychos.

I can believe this. I’ve never had any interest in ‘trans porn’ and find it icky, and yet PornHub will shove horrific CGI transsexual demons fucking imagery in my face as an ‘ad’ before I get to see Jenna Jameson taking one.

It’s like they’re trying to link an aroused state with tranny porn, maybe Andy Wachowski got warped by this and now keeps his packet in a tumbler on his bedside table 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sounds more like drugs to me.

Maybe she just realized that he identified most with those people. That's why it struck a chord.

There are certainly transsexuals who are into it as some kind of fetish (autogynephilia). He and his brother seem to belong to that group.
