However, it was never for political reasons. I heard about a bunch of shady deals and whatnot he supposedly did in the 80's and 90's. Shifty behavior and downright evil stuff, e.g. stealing his employees pensions after his company went belly-up. That one is for sure true because Trump had to go to court to legally steal their pensions. The records are public.

As a politician he as done quite a bit to piss me off, too.
-The vape ban
-Vetoing the release of the JFK files
-Bump stock ban
-"Take the guns and due process later"
etc.

Despite all this, my opinion of him has improved overall. Especially with the amount of vitriolic and unhinged hate he gets constantly.
The lies about him are countless.
Bullets nearly taking his head off.

Yet he perseveres.

He is also hilarious. He can be very funny and a lot of the stuff he does and says, his mannerisms, are hilarious. Like when he wanted to nuke a hurricane. lol.

I do not like defending him, but I am loyal to truth/reality. Most Trump haters avoid truth and reality like the plague.

The modern state of politics is an absolute joke.

I never limited what pisses me off about Trump. You are another confused Dem arguing in bad faith(at best, at worst you really are that dumb).

That being said, I am far more concerned with his policy as a politician than his actions as a citizen. One of those is far more impactful on society than the other. You choose to focus on the one that doesn't matter and that is classic Dem behavior.

I would not be surprised in the least to find most of your complaints are trumped up, no pun intended.

Republicans and Democrats are both full of shit, but democrats are currently WAY in the lead as far as being completely full of shit.

It tends to go back and forth ever 15 years or so.

USA needs a new Ron Paul or a Javier Milei, and people need to back them resoundingly.

The Lacy Act is a perfect example of just one law that has so many rules it is impossible to follow:

The Lacey act prohibits the importation, exportation, transportation, sale, receipt, acquisition, or purchase of any fish or wildlife or plant taken, possessed, transported, or sold in violation of any law, treaty, or regulation of the United States or any Indian tribal law, or foreign law.
So, you have to be aware of every law in the world in regards and follow them all.

Gibson Guitar got convicted of that even though their wood importation was not in violation of US or the originating country's laws. They had a license for their rosewood. They just decided to pay a fine rather than fight the corrupt federal government that raided the guitar factory with guns.

If you look into the personal stuff behind a lot of famous people, you end up learning a lot of flattering and unflattering stuff about them. In fact, you'd be shocked at how many "heroes" of history had some very scummy stuff going on behind the scenes and how many "villains" of history had stuff in common with people who see themselves as fighting for the "right kind of" issues today. There's a reason some bad people in history still have admirers (such as Napoleon) and why some heroes of history (such as MLK) have critics. Despite history elevating them (for good or bad) they are still human beings with virtues and flaws just like everyone else. They just did something to stand out more than the rest of us.
