Truman did not start any foreign wars. He was president when WWII finished though. When North Korea started the Korean conflict, Truman did respond.

JFK did not start any wars. He inherited and escalated the role of US advisers in Vietnam from Eisenhower. Johnson was the one who started the US war with Vietnam in 1964.

Nixon inherited the Vietnam War from Johnson and then ended/lost it.

Obama increased deployment of troops to Afghanistan, but inherited the conflict from Bush.

Do you know what energy independence is? While the US did for a while, export more oil then it imported, we never stopped importing oil. From 1950 to 2020 we were importing 1 to 13 million barrels of oil a day. This is not independence.
