Destroy other peoples' ability to earn a living - please don't tell me you're one of those knuckleheads who thinks covid-19 is made up, or masks don't work, or uses terms like "plandemic", because those people absolutely don't rate being taken seriously.
I'm referring to blacklisting people and destroying their lives and getting them canceled and fired because 20 years ago they may have told an ethnic joke. UNLESS of course, the person in question is an important Liberal like Justin Trudeau, whose many blackface incidents are taken as innocent, youthful folly.
shareI think it depends on whether the person in question has a long history of involvement with white supremacist groups and such, if they simply did something years ago that offends people in today's climate I don't agree with forcing them out or treating them like pariahs.
But this "cancel culture" occurs on both the left and right, it's not the exclusive province of any one group. One of the consequences of so much polarization is this 'you're either with us or against us' mentality where you have to buy all the way in to every aspect of someone's ideology or be shunned.
