On Tuesday, Intelligence and national security correspondent for NBC News Ken Dilanian reported the somewhat breaking news to MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson that the Senate Intelligence Committee admits it has found, after two years, “no direct evidence” of collusion between Donald Trump and Russia. The report met surprise first, then skepticism, with Jackson and her guests.

"He added the caveat that Special Counsel Robert Mueller‘s investigation is not complete and may have access to things that the intelligence committee does not have access to."

There's no basis for saying that.
Even the bullshit report from the Senate Intel Committee said there's ***currently*** no ***DIRECT*** link between the POTUS & the Russians.
That doesn't mean that there was no collusion.
There is a direct link between the Russians & the Trump Campaign. And the Trump Organization. Mueller got GUILTY pleas.
And Manafort, Flynn, Gates, Junior, KUshner weren't even interviewed by the Senate Intelligence Cmte.
They also didn't get any bank records.
Cohen, Junior, Flynn, Manafort - all lied to the FBI or to Congress. And none of them were interviewed on the record for the Senate Cmte.
No direct collusion - but their lies prove obstruction of Justice.
Trump's people did what Putin wanted. They changed the GOP platform on Ukraine AFTER the Trump Tower meeting & it was the only change the Trump campaign made. The ONLY one. The Trump Administration/GOP relaxed sanctions on one of the Russian bagmen Oleg Derispaka WHILE A MILLION AMERICANS were missing paychecks for the shutdown.
Trump directly harmed Americans & directly helped Russians.

Senate Intel committee is not the Mueller investigation. Mueller has 45 full time investigators to the Senate's 9. His report will be the gold standard unless the next AG decides to block it from being released to the public in order to protect the president.

shareWhat I find hilarious is how anyone can take seriously what Richard Burr has to say from the Senate Intel committee when we already know he's deeply compromised because he served as Trump's acting national security adviser during the campaign. You can't impartially investigate a campaign you were formerly part of. It's such a joke because it's not like any Democrats on that committee share his opinion. He's not as bad as Nunes because he likes to pretend he's moderate but he's very clearly partisan and has no real interest in getting to the truth when he's one of the largest recipients of NRA money. He's not going to cross his financial benefactors.
There is only one plausible explanation for the appearance of coordination between the Putin forces, Trump campaign, and NRA's GOTV efforts when all appeared to be running off the same data set. They had to be all operating from the same data source. This data Manafort passed onto the Russians goes to the very heart of this investigation. There is no plausible way to claim, like Burr does, that handing Putin time sensitive US polling data was not collusive. The fact that there is no other conceivable reason for the Russians to have such data illustrates just how compromised Burr is to refuse to recognize it as collusive. He's proven he can't be taken seriously.

I can recall a time when 5 times that number of Senators concluded that Hillary didn't do anything wrong in responding to the Benghazi attack, but that STILL doesn't stop you thugs from puking out that long-debunked talking point. And it didn't stop the House - whose leader SAID ON THE RECORD - that they were investigating Hillary to get her poll numbers, then in the high 70's, down.
Democrats are earning MILLIONS more votes than Republicans are preventing.

The GOP announced that the Sen Intel Committee is “approaching the end of its investigation” without finding “direct evidence of a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia.”
The word ‘direct’ is doing a lot of work in that announcement. THE COMMITTEE DID NOT INTERVIEW FLYNN, MANAFORT or GATES.
There is no consensus. The two sides of the committee agree on the facts but differ on their significance.
“Certainly there is plenty of circumstantial/indirect evidence of collusion,” an aide to one Senator said.
Certainly GOPricks are pushing this as a done deal.
