Oh well

reply

Did she do the tombstone wrong?

reply

She was given so many more chances than a regular person. Took somebody to die for them to finally put her away.

reply

What did she do wrong, cause she seems to have a nice figure?

reply

πŸ˜‚ Not in her more recent pictures!

reply

She got too much Dr. Feelgood, em' I right?

reply

Killed somebody while drunk driving.

reply

Oh, that's not good at all. Very sad indeed for the victim and their family.

reply

I thought this was going to be an update she died. Nope still in jail.

reply

So glad I quit drinking, my biggest fear was killing someone due to my drunk driving. 947 days sober off that shit, I won't ever go back πŸ™Œ

reply

That's awesome!

reply

Keep up the good work

reply

I'm so glad I'm responsible enough to be able to drink and don't have to be sober every day

A good friend of mine served 22 years for a drug related murder that happened when he was 19. He didn't *blame* alcohol but always said he did stupid shit when he drank, including the gun play that caused the killing in a drug deal gone bad. He was sentenced to life, but has been out on parole 25 years (that's when I met him). He's been trying to get the parole dismissed but it doesn't seem likely. Still, he hasn't touched a drop and is happy to have been given another chance.

For me, I drove with too much booze in me a few times without incident, but the night that changed my life was when I was driving home from a bar where the guys in my night school class went to watch Monday Night Football on a front projection TV maybe about 1978 or 79.

Driving late that night about a mile from home, I entered a decreasing radius turn too quickly and found myself full in the on-coming lane in my 74 Monte Carlo. Fortunately, there was no one in the other lane that night so I dropped my speed to 30 and drove home. I was stunned, embarrassed, and then furious that I had lost control of a motor vehicle. That was the last time I drove after drinking. Almost 50 years now.
