I can't say I've never smiled at something she's done, but her humour is definitely not for me. Her more dramatic acting, I actually love.

Yeah, she's way better in drama. I actually didn't hate her comedy in Ghostbusters because she toned it down a bit.

I think it's because she was playing a person rather than playing the funny man. I think that's why I like her so much in Life of the party, where the comedy isn't too annoying because her acting is the main focus.

She was funny in Bridesmaids. But then she did the same character after that and it got old.

She was funny, but quickly displayed it was pretty one note. Same character over and over basically. Unfortunately, it's true of a lot of comedians. However, she's truly a competent actress and doesn't need to stick to comedy. She was great in Can You Ever Forgive Me.

most comedians move past it after a while. She's doing more "serious" stuff, but she's not typical Hollywood leading lady attractive, and it will always limit her roles.
