Oh no, so sad to hear Richard Lewis has passed away.

So sad. I remember Richard Lewis from way, way back as a kid on the mid-day talk shows and how funny he was. Then he showed up on Curb and I was delighted at his character and friendship with Larry. Good-bye Richard Lewis, Rest In Peace.

In the last episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm he talked about leaving his money to Larry and Larry said he didn't want it and it got into an argument on the fairway. That was a little too close.

By the way, RIP ... for those who don't care enough or cannot take the time to write a simple, human, polite, REST IN PEACE.

reply

Are you saying "RIP" is somehow disrespectful? As if writing out three short words makes you a better person?

reply

Admirable.

reply

Exactly. You do know how to read.

reply

Rest in Peace, Richard Lewis.

RIP he was great on CYE. I guess Larry gets his stuff.

Signed, million man

I didn't know he had Parkinson's disease. I heard he died of a heart attack but I wonder if the disease was a factor considering he was diagnosed last year.

reply

I just know that in the last couple years he did not look well on the show.

reply

RIP he was a very funny stand up comedian. He will be missed.

reply

Sad to see this also. I always liked him...kind of a "different" sense of humor (for lack of a better word), but I thought he was funny. He was a smart guy also...he could be very thought-provoking and honest in some of his interviews. He was also one of the more famous "non-athletes" to graduate from OSU also. RIP, Richard Lewis. 😢

Sad to see him go. I was only vaguely familiar with his stand up before I saw him on Curb. Many fans have commented on how Larry started Curb looking like an old man but hardly appeared to age over the decade the show has been on the air, whereas Richard seemed to be aging at an accelerated and accelerating rate. In retrospect, that was probably a sign of his declining health. Thanks for the laughs, Richard, and RIP.

RIP to the great comedy legend Richard Lewis. Heavy weight stand up act and a delightful film comedian.
