The Grateful Dead has been my favorite band for half a century (I'm 65).

RIP, Phil!

Glad to see the archive is back up!

My condolences. Not much of a GD fan myself, but I feel your pain. I hadn't realized that Lesh had any involvement with Apocalypse Now.

The rock death that hit me the hardest was Joe Strummer back in 2002.

Some of the members of the Dead recorded music for the film at Coppola's request:

They (Grateful Dead) also did the music for the '80s Twilight Zone movie...

One of the best bass players in rock.

Beautiful quote (Box of Rain)

Sad day for us deadheads...I used to whistle "Box of Rain" when I was windsurfing if the wind died, it never failed to bring it back!

The last Phil Bomb has been unleashed...😢
