No posts for Little Beaklips?

It looks like he does voice and sound crew work mostly nowadays.

Sorry, but after he committed infanticide on Mary’s baby, in the episode titled, May We Bake Them Brown, that bastard was dead to me :D

reply

Man that would have been hilarious if that was the actual episode title.

I don't know what on earth the writers were thinking with that episode! It ruined his character forever, and the show completely took a major downturn afterwards. I love how they tried redeeming Albert with that creepy episode about the girl who gets stalked by a rapist in a clown mask. (Sorry, but no.)

LOL at the parody title. I know some people might be shocked/offended but who cares? That episode was cheap exploitation. As a kid, it haunted the crap out of me but now I just roll my eyes with disgust over how cheap it was.

reply

Oh yeah. The show definitely took a dark turn from that point on. Then he became a drugstore cowboy on the prairie, when he tapped into Ol’ Doc’s morphine stash.

I suppose that Damien, er, Albert was redeemable on some level. Well, at least nothing that a good exorcism wouldn’t have cured, maybe :D

reply

Yeah, that was a bizarre episode.
Only because, he killed these people and its just like, oh well, Gods love can make us forgive him.

I know I am not the only one that can still hear the wailing of Mary.

MY BABY!
MY BABY!

reply

I recall Chuck taking more pity on Albert, than Mary, which seemed very odd.

That’s one of the reasons why you see so many snark posts over at the little house boards. Some of the scripts are more than a little over the top :D

Beaklips?? Lol...

reply

Just a nickname I've always had for him. He always looked like he had a little beaky bird mouth.

reply

Yeah he did. ..lol ..

I never liked Albert. But when he burned down the blind school, accidentally of course, I really loathed him. He caused the death of Mary's baby and Alice Garvey. Yet Charles was more upset about "poor Albert" who ran away like the little coward that he was.

I don't think he ever uttered the words, "I'm sorry" to Jonathan Garvey. What a useless putz.

reply

Charles actually turned on him years later in the episode when Albert becomes a drug addict. Said something in the opening scene like he regretted the day he ever laid eyes on him and didn't care if he lived or died. So, killing babies was fine but becoming a morphine addict--that's where he drew the line!

reply

If I remember right, Albert got his in the end. didn't he end up dying of leukemia or something?

reply

I don't remember. I had pretty much bailed on LHOTP at that point. The last thing I remembered was that everyone had blown up the town, LOL.

reply

This is another example of the terrible continuity (Or lack thereof) with this series moonglum9. There was an episode in which it was insinuated that Albert died from a blood related illness. And I’m going from memory here, but I’m pretty sure that in an even later episode, Laura mentions that Albert went on to become a doctor. Having studied under H. H. Holmes, one imagines :D

According to his Wiki bio he co-founded (with his brother) an organisation to help youth in crisis, and was the US Pac-Man champion. Renaissance man...

Reader Blind: This actor (Matthew Labyorteaux) rose to prominence when he was a child playing a role (Albert Quinn Ingalls) on a drama series ("Little House on the Prairie") set in a certain period based on the writings of an author (Laura Ingalls Wilder) who was in the news awhile back. The show ran for a number of seasons. After that, he had a couple failed shows and made guest appearances and then disappeared for about a decade and a half except for the occasional TV role. This was partly blamed on the actor’s mental condition which he has been forthright about. However, the main reason was a horrible experience he had on this sitcom ("Taxi") (the episode he was in was never aired). The show was an ensemble which featured this actor who is associated with a sport (Tony Danza/boxer) and had another popular sitcom ("Who’s the Boss") after this one as well as this late prankster (Andy Kaufman) who was more well known for his trolling-type activities outside of the show. The lead actor (Judd Hirsch) on the ensemble has starred in other TV shows. One day after filming ("King of the Gypsies"), the lead actor took the young actor back to his dressing room and offered him a drink that was drugged. He then raped the actor so violently he required surgery afterwards. (Library celebrates Laura Ingalls Wilder’s 153rd birthday) ("King of the Gypsies")

I never heard about him being molested.
