James Gunn & Peter Safran Unveil Big DC Plan

On the tv side he made smart moves: Game if Thrones works so we make a DC version with Paradide Lost. The Boys works so we make a DC version with The Authority.
On the movie side, its a good move to differenciate the DCU Batman from the Reeves one giving him a bond with Robin.
Promising plans. And good that some actors will stay.
I'm not really all about the shared universe across movies, television, and games, but we'll see how things go.
shareI am generally pleased with the announcement but suddenly feel like many non-fans of comicbook propertieswhen Marvel introduced their slate of movies in the very beginning. Is this really a big deal? Marvel's at the time seemed "small", intimate and familiar.
"By 2004, David Maisel had a plan for Marvel to self-finance its films, becoming a proper movie studio in the process. He was named COO and helped secure funding for the new venture on the back of characters like Captain America, Shang-Chi, Black Panther, Cloak & Dagger, Power Pack, and others. 2005 then saw the new studio secure a distribution deal with Paramount, around which time the Iron Man, Thor, and Black Widow rights reverted back to Marvel. Bruce Banner also came home, though Universal retained first refusal rights - which has since held up future solo films for The Hulk."The MCU grew in fits and starts and became something that no one could have expected.
Green Lantern should be a movie.
