After all that hoopla around Carson leaving and Leno/Letterman clamoring for that role, then how Conan pushed for it as well, for them to give it to this guy really made it a mediocre job to pine for. He has sullied that brand for good.
Frankly, with cable, I'm surprised these talk shows are still on the air. I suppose they are cheap to produce, but the hosts make some good scratch.

The latest episodes stress what a terrible interviewer he is. Because of quarantine and not being able to have guests in the studio so he can play his stupid games with them, he's forced to actually conduct proper talk show interviews with these people, and he's just terrible at it and he looks absolutely miserable.
