Thoughts and prayers won't fix ongoing mass shootings like Republicans Abbott and Cruz want you to believe. They believe in less restrictions but the mass shooting problem in this country is not getting any better. Mass shootings are happening over and over. Strong mental health background checks and Red flag laws would help to get these guns out of the hands of those who are unstable or have a history of violence. BTW I'm not against the 2nd amendment right for responsible gun ownership. Just don't stonewall common sense gun safety laws like Republicans have done in the United States year after year.

What I am in favor of is having blast proof doors in stalled in schools and armed security guards in and around said schools. I am even in favor of arming teachers. If we eliminated guns the problem will only increase because only criminals will have guns. I can go out to my garage and build a high powered gun with scraps that I could find at a local scrap yard if I were so inclined- I am not. the banning of guns will lead to what Mao, Stalin, and Hitler did to their peoples happening here. TDo you think I trust ANY politician to not do that? They want to silence any opposition to anything that they dislike- I have no idea how this is lost upon people such as yourself. They are showing up on their discord servers. This recent shooter was arrested for threatening a school a few years ago and they've been right with him. Even if you take all that out, a dirt poor boy who works at Wendys can just buy 2 AR15s and hundreds of rounds of ammo? He shoots up his grandma, then a store. The school next to the store goes into lockdown but a teacher blocks the back door open. The cops are ordered to stay outside the school for over an hour. They arrest parents who are trying to save their kids. An off duty border patrol agent gets a text from his wife while getting a haircut and rushes to the scene and takes care of business. Their psi-op fell through this time. Too many people were live streaming and they had to keep changing their story. In this day and age it actually makes a lot more sense that these awful massacres are being orchestrated from the top down.
