Did he quit the Mandalorian?!
Anyone heard about this rumor of him quitting halfway through production of season2?
shareAnyone heard about this rumor of him quitting halfway through production of season2?
shareI heard it yes. I don't know if it's confirmed.
shareIt doesn't matter. He' voice only and they could replace him no problem.
shareMaybe. He threw a bitch fit, that's for sure. And rightly so. Bringing in other Mandos who can take their helmets off leaving him to be a cult clown was a bridge too far.
sharelooks like they bowed to his wishes and allowed him to show his face more.
shareYou have to wonder why he even took this role if he wanted to show his face. Did he do zero research on the role? It's like getting into the porn business and then getting surprised when you get fucked so much...
sharethat's a stupid comment
shareSeems a legit comment to me...you take a role with certain requirements...then get mad about the requirements
shareYep, it reminds me of the story of Tina Louise that played Ginger on Gilligan's Island... sometime after the series had started she started bitching about not getting enough screen time... Dumb bitch didn't seem to realize that if the show was called GILLIGAN'S Island that Gilligan would probably be the main star of the show, after all it wasn't called Ginger's Island.
sharelolz
best anal-ogy ever!
No, he hasn't quit the show as of this date.
He was always going to get to show his face more as the show progressed. No demands were necessary. That whole thing about most Mandalorians being okay with removing their helmets wasn't just something they made up recently. Bo-Katan and her people appeared in Star Wars Rebels where they also took off their helmets. Apparently the Children of the Watch were also not a new thing the writers of this show came up with. So basically, they knew all this was coming on day one. It was already part of Star Wars canon.
I try not to listen to online rumors. Pedro Pascal has recently confirmed he has no plans to leave The Mandalorian anytime soon!
I totally believe that they intended for Mando to show his face more as the show went on, as he grew as a person and learned there were other ways to live than Thisistheway. Because Star Wars is about the Light Side at its core, the basis of the show had to be the healing and evolving affect of love on this guy.
I have to say, that if Pascal quit the show because they didn't let him show his face enough, it'd be a career-killer for him. Disney has spent a fortune on the show and they're using it as a headliner and draw for Disney+, and if he quit that just when the Baby Yoda toys were carrying the new streaming service into profitability... he'd make an enemy of the entire Disney Corporate Entertainment Conglomerate. A jobbing actor just can't afford to have that many enemies.
Does anyone really get anywhere being a dancing monkey for Disney? I think of all the actor and actresses on the Disney Channel shows over the past decade or two and I can't think of many that ever got anywhere after Disney cancelled thier shows. It is almost like the mouse just chews up actors and spits out the shells to tossed in the waste bin of LaLa land.
shareYou actually think he would leave because they fired Carano, HAHAHAHA no he hates her guts and is glad that she's gone, Just because he's doing The Last of Us doesn't mean he can't also do The Mandalorian since his role on the latter is 90% voice work.
shareYou are responding to a 5 month old post that had nothing to do with Gina's firing. Op was referring to Pascal wanting to quit because he gets no face time on camera.
shareHe has made it clear he's unhappy, but there is no official word he is leaving yet. Giving that one fan favorite is already gone, I imagine the execs at Disney will line up to suck his dick if that is what it takes to keep him on board.
