Predictions?

...For tonight's 'bout'

reply

Why this isn't on Pay Per View at $100.00 to watch this as opposed to being strictly on NETFLIX is questionable?? I'll say Round 1 but maybe 2

reply

To whom?

reply

Tyson

reply

Netflix is trying to get into sports, kind of like Amazon. They probably paid them a lot. As a viewer, I can't imagine paying $100 for this on PPV. Maybe Netflix did some research and felt that, since this is their first event, the best approach was to keep it free.

reply

Well the $100.00 Pay Per View fee would've been designed to get 5 people to chip in $20.00 in that sense

Prediction?...Pain.

reply

Damn, you beat me to it...

Exactly what I came on here to predict!

reply

That is the only response to any kind of request for a boxing prediction lol!

reply

My prediction is buffering issues with Netflix...

Watching on pirate internet streamers. https://v3.bestsolaris.com/boxingstreams1/mike-tyson-vs-jake-paul/

reply

I would love to see Tyson drop this guy, but that may be wishful thinking because Tyson hasn't really put up a good fight since what, the early 1990s maybe?

Part of the Tyson legend and mystique is what he could do. He could maybe kill Paul in 30 seconds, but that's the legend we hope to see.

Who knows, Tyson could call the fight after a receiving a few blows.

reply

When you have the level of training and nature boxing instincts then you never lose it.

I remember a story of there being a boxing gym at a strip mall somewhere, and there was some 70 year old ex olympic boxing champion who trained people at this gym, after sparing he was sat at the bus stop waiting to go home, thats when a couple of guys in their 20swho also used the gym to train came out, feeling pumped after a couple of red bulls they felt tough, throwing things, talking smack.

the 70 year old put 2 of them in the hospital, one of them lost some hearing..

i doubt that the fight is 100% legit. but no matter how old mike is, he's gonna have something else.

reply

The fight is 100% fake. If this was a real fight, Tyson would murder this kid in the 1st round.

reply

100% fake, okay…

reply

what you thought this is a real fight?

reply

What is your definition of fake, what is definition of real?

It’s a sanctioned boxing match.

Is it a joke, yes, is it elder abuse, yes, is it real, absolutely.

reply

Your first clue is that it's on netflix and not on ESPN.

of course it's not real. it's essentially the boxing version of WWF.

I can call it now, they'll go a few rounds, it gets called a draw. they walk away with millions. and then they go on and on about an already preplanned rematch.

where they talk smack on their youtube channels, people buy it, love it and want round 2...

more money! listen i'm not one of these people who thinks everything is fake, but come on...

reply

ESPN would never agree to sign this fight to begin with, Tyson is too old and the repercussions that ESPN would face if Tyson suffers serious head trauma would be tremendous. Too much of a liability…

It’s on Netflix because this is the world we live in now, people go where the money is and Netflix has the green and the viewers.

I grew up watching Tyson and I believe that he is a true warrior and would never agree to a rigged match, so yes I believe it’s a real fight.
Make no mistake, Jake Paul wants nothing more than to knock out Tyson in front of millions of viewers, that’s where the money is, and he is a businessman, Tyson knows this and is hopefully going to do everything in his power to prevent that from happening.

reply

you've just explained it perfectly

"people go where the money is"

bingo, so if they can they hype this fight up, throw in a scripted draw, get people all excited, then have another 9 months of tyson and paul calling each other out for part 2.. hype, more hype...

people love it, and then comes payday 2.

tyson isn't the 26 year old athlete who loves the sport anymore, he's someone whos wasted his money on cars, drugs and tigers... it's not boxing for him anymore, it's money.

if he loved boxing like you claim, he wouldn't be fighting some idiot internet wannabe, he'd be fighting a real boxer. right?

you can't say he's a true warrior, then see him fighting jake paul on netflix. FFS

sorry be an asshole, but you sound very naive!

reply

You even included an exclamation point at the end, that’s funny.

It’s just my opinion Jerry, relax.

reply

because it is funny!

reply

whats my definition of fake? you must be joking, your name does check out though! you are dancing in the dark ....mentally lol

reply

Yep. It's slightly more of a fight than Roy Jones Jr vs. Tyson, but it's still not a real fight. Even at 58, Tyson has more skill from muscle memory than Jake Paul has learned during his attempt at legitimacy -- where his only loss was against an actual boxer, albeit a shitty one. Still, I hope inner Tyson goes rogue, throws a quick combo, and connects -- if just to flush out all this nonsense.

reply

best comment so far lol marty nailed it!

reply

Jake Paul for the win but I put money on Tyson because if he happens to catch Paul and put his ass down I want to doubly relish in the moment.

reply

that it's not a serious fight and it's staged, they'll dance around in the ring, do a couple of rounds. maybe call it a draw, someone is scripted to go down and they walk away with millions, while youtube geeks think it's the greatest thing ever.

i miss 90s boxing.

reply

Yeah, what's up with eight two-minute rounds? Presumably it's so Tyson doesn't get gassed.

Heavyweight boxing's a joke these days, though not due to a lack of talent. It's ridiculous how boxers are allowed to pick and choose their fights and only have to step into the ring once every 12 months.

reply

Ends in a draw.

All fake.

Hope it would be real though.

reply

Fake fight. Move along

reply

Tyson for the dub.
