I thought the notion that the fan base was so heavily male was sexist?
Isn't the force female? They were making SW with such a feminist slant in order to make it more watchable and relatable for the lady SW fans. SW was for them, now.
All those women hating monsters in the fan base stopping them from going out to theaters? If women loved it that much, you'd think they could get together and go to the movies themselves. Or at least watch it safely in the privacy of their homes.
I don't belive the fan base is nearly as bad as they claim, anyway. I"m sure some women have had bad experiences, but most fans, and guys in general with some geeky interest, like it when a woman shows an interest in their thing.
She is just a lousy person.

Lucas was a fool to sell to them.
He would have been better off just retiring the saga.
If the fan base is so male-dominated, why are you trying so hard to market your product to females? It makes no sense. It'd be like if someone took over F1 Racing, or some other male-dominated sport, and started trying to market it to the female audience.
