She says Wonder Woman is a queer and trans icon.

I hate stuff like this. The character is a straight woman, and she tries to make the character come across as some face for an oppressed group. Does she really think this is what gay and trans people look up to just because a few people told her so? They want an actual gay character. They want an actual trans character. Instead, she claims that the character is an icon for those groups to make it look like Wonder Woman isn't just some straight white woman. Play an actual gay or trans character then talk.

Dunno why gay people would be into her, but she was certainly an icon for me when I hit puberty.

What I've heard is themat even though she was written as being the only heterosexual in Thymisceea, she's much beloved by lesbians. For obvious reasons.

Maybe a bit of a gay icon, I mean the 70s TV show was kind of camp, but only a bit. I have no idea about trans opinions.

I don't know much about the world of Wonder Woman, I only know what I've seen from the movie. I don't recall them referring to her as being straight or gay or anyone else on Thymisceea.

i certainly didn't think wonder woman was gay back in the 70s as a teen.

Ironically, the character in her early appearances in the comics was a hetero sado-masochist icon. The shrink who created her was into all that, and you'd be hard pressed to find an issue where she wasn't tied up at some point.

I barely know this woman from Wonder Woman, I don't think that show was even still on tv when I was growing up, as opposed to The Hulk.
