Rest in peace, Michael. He was deliciously droll as Hugo Drax in Moonraker.

Well said.

Drax was one of the most memorable Bond villains, with Lonsdale's performance certainly helping to elevate Moonraker to one of the all time great Bond films. Just eclipses TSWLM among Sir Roger's for me...

It's funny, I don't particularly remember him in Bond - but I thought he was excellent in The Day Of The Jackal.

Excellent actor. As well as his great role in Day of the Jackal, he is moving and memorable in Of Gods and Men.
