Yes, I did. I haven't delved into it yet, too much of a backlog to watch. But I'll go through it eventually and am glad I have it. I agree, it's truly wonderful that such a thing was made.
I’d like to watch Emanuelle in America (1977) for the first time so I looked it up here on Movie Chat, but I can’t seem to find it’s board. Do you know if it’s listed under an alternative title here?
Seems to be a victim of moviechat's condescending suppression of some titles they deem porn. The below should bring it up, but you'll probably just get back to the main page.
I found it by searching by one of the writers Maria Pia Fusco, and it's listed on her board here: https://moviechat.org/nm0299313
Feel free to start a thread on the this (Laura Gemser) board about it.
[rant] The idea that this site has bullshit discussion boards for Hitler, Robert E Lee, Osama Bin Laden etc, but you can't talk about many movies which certainly have merit, but are "X" is lame. [rant over]
They aren’t very consistent, for whatever reason. I just checked Thriller: A Cruel Picture (1973), which also has explicit scenes added in some versions, and it has a page here.
Because it was a film that was cashing in on the actual Emanuelle series. Gemser does not play the same character here and I think her name is spelled Emmanouella or something. I’ve heard she’s not even an under cover reporter in this one either.
Just watched Laura Gemser in Violence in a Women's Prison (Violenza in un carcere femminile). It's a poor film (and I love WIP flicks) but she's cute as hell in it.
I like Women’s Prison Massacre (1983), also directed by Bruno Mattei but with the help of Claudio Fragasso, much more than Violence in a Women’s Prison. It even shares much of the same cast but it’s got some serious wtf moments in it. But yeah, if your into WIP films and like Gemser, I’d definitely recommend it.
