Why isn’t Sammy Davis Jr. more popular today?

He was the ultimate entertainer—a triple threat—and a huge pop culture icon when he was alive, but he’s hardly talked about today.

When I was growing up I kind off viewed him as my parents’ era entertainer but as I’ve become older I’ve become more interested in him and the rest of the rat pack.

He was a good as Ingersoll and dancer, but a terrible actor and IMHO very unlikable.

Not just because he spent forever being Sinatra's token stooge, but because he was so... aggressively showbizzy. So old-school Vegas.
