Battlestar Gallactica or Quantum Leap or Blue Velvet

I like Dean Stockwell. Dunno why, but I do.

I loved him in Quantum Leap but his character in BSG was better plus (SPOILER)he got to be a very bad guy. Great job too. Loved it.
shareI'll always remember his as Al from Quantum Leap.
shareHe also had a substantial role in the movie Paris, Texas (1984), where he gets to play the "normal" guy, as opposed to Harry Dean Stanton, who acts as his brother, I believe. Before QL so I had no idea who Dean was and the movie was so true to life he seemed like a non-actor and more like the average person he was portraying, in a good way.
Glad I saw that one in a theater. It's a Wim Wenders film, and is meditative and dialogue driven, and I'm sure too slow for a lot of people. Have never re-watched it but loved it at the time.
The Player (1992)
shareMy favorite roles of Dean's was Long Day's Journey & Compulsion.
share“The Boy with Green Hair”! I remember watching that when I was kid in the 70s.
Actually what I will always remember him most for was Quantum Leap. I also like a lot of the roles he played on TV such as in The Twilight Zone and Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
