Why hasn't he gotten better roles?

lmao. Some time ago, my sister got me to watch Crawl. She was telling me that the movie stars this actor she likes. Good acting. Very strong/masculine. But I'd probably never heard of him. She looks up the name: Barry Pepper. She's describing him, and how he's in the movie Snitch, etc. I'm like whatever.

Movie starts, I'm like omg, it's that guy. It's the guy from Saving Private Ryan. That movie with the Jesus guy where they wake up in a warehouse. And Knockaround Guys. He's fucking great. Super underrated.

Brother walks in the room, "oh, it's Barry Pepper", he's fantastic. Saving Private Ryan. Enemy of the State. Blah blah.

We all start cracking up because we love this actor that we barely know from random movies we've all seen over the years. Yeah, he deserves bigger roles.

It's his name. Barry Pepper sounds like a sitcom character. He shoulda changed it to Barry Paprika

Great character actor. Definitely deserves to be in high profile projects
