She starred in Poltergeist in 1982, but died in early 1988. Spielberg didn't direct or produce any of her subsequent projects before her death (this includes the later Poltergeist films). What's the connection with Spielberg in the last five or six years of her life? So I see no reason to even mention his name, especially since her death can be perfectly explained by the "official story" and there are no credible suspects or reasons for thinking she was abused.

Was Heather's mom lackadaisical and negligent on her part? She was very sick filming Poltergeist 3 in Chicago. Heather gave her mom a couple of hints that it was dire. Several months before she died, she told her mother that she wanted to be buried with her favorite stuffed animal Dumbo. And less than a month before she died, she wanted her mom to film her on her new camcorder “so you will have something to remember me by.”
