Adam Sandler and Jim Carrey. Two comedy legends who both started on influential sketch shows, were huge in the 90’s, sort of stumbled through the 00’s and both became comfortable in the 10’s doing their own things. They are both divisive and considered one note by many but they both have made some classics and showed range in dramas and other stuff.

these are two of the most overrated comedians of all time. i would probably say i hate jim carrey more since i was a fan of mr. deeds and happy gilmore but adam sandler has not released a decent move in ages

Jim Carrey has made me laugh so hard my eyes were watering. Adam Sandler never did that. That being said I like them both.

I LIKE BOTH...MORE PARTIAL TO SANDLER,ALTHOUGH HIS WORK IS SEVERELY HIT OR MISS THESE DAYS...THAT SAID...SO IS CARREY'S WORK...OVERALL RESUME GOES TO THE SANDMAN...HE HAS MORE FILMS I LOVE THAN CARREY.

I’ve always enjoyed both of them, and think they are both great when they want to be. Sandler’s bad movies are REALLY bad though.

Dumb & Dumber is one of my all time favorite comedies, and Eternal Sunshine is one of my favorite movies period, so I would have to give my edge to Jim Carrey. I also think that Liar Liar is one of the greatest physical comedy performances EVER! Carrey is brilliant in that film!

Sandler’s classics like Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, etc...it seems like he shares the laughs in his films a lot more than Carrey does, which is great. And when Sandler works with good directors, they can get a great performance out of him! He was amazing in Uncut Gems, just going a million miles a minute digging himself into a deeper and deeper hole. He’s really good in Punch Drunk Love as well, and very funny! The Meyerowitz Stories is a very underrated gem, and Sandler does great in that film.

But ultimately, like I mentioned, Jim Carrey wins to me, because he didn’t make “Jack and Jill“, “Blended”, “The Ridiculous Six”, “Grown Ups 1 & 2”, etc.

Both suck but I think Sandler is less annoying.
