Did 'Temple of Doom' ruin her career/credibility as an actress?

Seriously, even though "Temple of Doom" was a hit, her career really didn't flourish afterwards, not after all the negative reviews she took. Bad luck (not counting marrying Spielberg years later) or did the film simply give people a negative perception of her, thus handicapping her career?

She was known as Spielberg's squeeze.. Unless he picked up the phone to get her a job or put her in his own movies she was not going to work..

Would you work again if you'd just succesfully broken up Steven Spielberg's marriage and were planning a future with him?

I wouldn't.

I mean, Why bother?

I think she married up and decided to focus on a family and living the high life in Hollywood royalty instead of a career. It happens to some actresses - Phoebe Cates and Bridget Fonda come to mind.

I agree.
Once you made it big why continue to work? When you can have fun in free time.

If you don't like her fine but we can all agree she is freaking Meryl Streep compared to Alison Doody from Last Crusade.
