Great character actor/heavy
JT Walsh always played authority figures who were unpleasant or just plain old a$$holes. You always remember him as he played these roles so well. Films like The Negotiator, Outbreak, Pleasantville, Executive Decision and Good Morning Vietnam are some that spring to mind. In Executive Decision, he played a US Senator who seeks to use a terrorist hijacking for his own political ambitions. Big mistake!
The only film that I recall he played a sympathetic character was A few good men. He is tormented by the fact that he could not save the life of the marine who is later murdered. He takes his own life.
