Republicans target Dolly’s Imagination Library

This is just shameful:

https://www.themarysue.com/stella-parton-dolly-parton-book-program-kentucky/

Do these idiots not understand how many thousands of children have benefited from Dolly’s humanitarian efforts with this program?

And they say liberals are a danger to children! Urgh.

If you want people to take you seriously, don't source the Mary Sue,lol. Even independent fact checking sites consider it "moderately to strongly bias" towards the left. And, did you actually read the article. All they are doing is making sure that the reading material is appropriate for the age group it's being given to. I'm sure you understand that there are topics young children shouldn't be reading about.

I suppose we need to know the result of those "checks" to form any opinions.

The *could* be banning books suggesting science is real and the earth wasnt made in 7 days ,
or history books with unpleasant truths about the way the country was formed .

You are making assertions based on nothing. You can research this for 30 seconds and find them discussing what their concerns are, and what you mention never comes up.

BIG mistake to target Dolly Parton!

She's one of the few people in the public sphere I've literally never heard a bad word about, she has apparently been kind and thoughtful to every single human being she's ever met, in addition to her charity work. You don't spit into the wind, and you don't attack a person who's never done anything bad in her whole life.

This is how you get your name in the news. Say that you are concerned and don't give specific reason for it.

The article is very short on details, so it is likely we are missing part of the story.
