Men claiming to be heterosexual ...
who say they can't see the sex appeal of young Jane Fonda, whether in Walk on the Wild Side, Klute, Barbarella, or any of her many other films from that era...
No one believes you!

I take it you did not grow up in a world where Henry Fonda was a biggest star and public presence than Jane?
The thing with Jane Fonda, that despite her body that won't quit in Barbarella, I always saw Henry Fonda too much in her face for her to do much for me. Today, now that I don't see Henry Fonda in the media any more, Jane seems more attractive.
As far as her politics, she was right about the Viet Nam war. She took it a bit far and rubbed it in the face of America, but what we did in that country is something right up there with the genocide of Native Americans and Slavery.
I think she was prettiest in “Barefoot in the park”.. I love that film!
shareShe still can get it.
shareThey do find her sexy, they just don't want to admit it because they hate her guts.
shareI wish she'd kept out of politics and stuck to movies like Cat Ballou.and Barbarella.
shareHer politics weren't the biggest issue for me, I think -- as another poster said -- it was the snooty attitude. She looked gorgeous but also carried herself as if she were unattainable, very much like Jennifer Aniston.
It kind of dampens the sex appeal when a woman sort of openly insinuates that she's better than you and you'll never have a chance with her. I'm pretty sure some women feel the same way about some men who carry themselves as if they're too good for a majority of women.
I think it's also what made actresses like Meg Ryan and Julia Roberts seem more affable, because they didn't -- during the height of their career -- come across quite as smugly as some other actresses have, such as Jane Fonda.
She was stunning in Barbarella.
shareInsanely hot in her prime. Up there with Raquel Welch, Brigitte Bardot, Sophia Loren, Claudia Cardinale. It was a hell of an era.
shareI'm far right and I think she was gorgeous when she was young. Foolish, but gorgeous.
