shareI have always liked Duvall and his work. There are many great Duvall performances, but one of my favorite Duvall roles was "Secondhand Lions". Of course, I am a sentimentalist and I loved the story behind the film.

I'm probably wrong here, but I thought Lonesome Dove put RD on the map, albeit late in the game.
He played that tough yet human, pragmatic, sentimental in a hard world, person so well, and in a long-form presentation, he became so endearing.
His career is so vast I wouldn't want to make it all about one show, but I thought LD ramped him into the popular consciousness.
